Crisis Intervention Center (CIC) is an ideal environment for graduate and undergraduate interns to gain practical knowledge related to the operation of a large and diverse non-profit. Currently, students can select from one of two programs, Social Work and Marketing/Advertising. CIC’s rigorous tracks expose students to various facets of the Center’s programmatic work including crisis intervention, traumatic loss services and education and training. In addition, students will be immersed in various projects related to fund development, content marketing, social media, donor management, telephonic crisis intervention (including texting and internet chat) and clinical best practices.
Students are encouraged to apply at least one semester prior to their desired start date. All applications will be reviewed and priority given to those with academic pursuits aligning with CIC’s intern program. All students applying for the social work program must successfully complete the volunteer crisis intervention training before their application will be considered. Submission of this application is no guarantee of acceptance into CIC’s intern program.
